A Message from the President, Glenn Stephens

2:53pm January 19, 2010 | Baden Pratt

On behalf of the new Management Committee, welcome to the 2010 season – the 90th anniversary of the Club (since it reformed after World War l) and one which will again present enormous anticipation and challenges.
Season 2010 will see the Club field seven teams and following our success with six teams participating in finals in 2009, we again believe we have the player group to build on the 2009 successes. With E and H Grades premierships and the A League playing in consecutive grand finals, there is the required momentum to have continued success in 2010.
On field in 2010, Scott Misich has been re appointed Head Coach and the Club is positive Scott will use the previous two seasons runners up results to spur us to win our first flag since 2003. Shane Kiely (A reserves) and Kevin Murphy Senior Colts Coach head the other A Grade coaching roles. The third senior team will again be under the stewardship of premiership coach Tully Misich and the 4’s will see the return of Neville Haywood to coaching at North Fremantle. Trent Barrett will again coach the H Grade and will be out to win back-to-back premierships in 2010.
As one of the oldest clubs in WA football, the Club will be holding a number of events in 2010 to commemorate its 90 years as an amateur club and we invite all present and past members/supporters to be part of our club this season.
On behalf of the committee I hope to see you down at “The Gil” regularly in 2010 and know you will enjoy community football at its best.
