From the President

On behalf of the Management Committee welcome to the 2009 season and no doubt it will be one of enormous anticipation given the exceptional performance of all teams given their finals efforts in 2008.

The 2008 season saw all of our seven teams playing finals with the lowest result being preliminary finals for the 3's and 4's. Five teams made the grand finals and the Phil Scott Colts made it back to back premierships. Again in 2008 (as was the case in 2007) both our Colts teams played in Grand Finals and further emphasised the strong future of the club. In 2008, we also won the G Grade final and came within 7 points of the A league premiership but had to settle for runners up as did the A Reserves.

In 2009, we will again enter the season with five senior sides and two colts teams which will mean each week we will see 160 players put on the North Fremantle colours.

On the field, Scott Misich has been re appointed as A Grade coach and brings with him both the passion and experience to go one better in 2009. He will be ably supported by Shane Kiely (A Reserves) with Dan Prigmore again leading the Phil Scott Colts and rookie coach Stephen Pratt taking over the Laurie Keene Colts. The 3's will be led by experienced coach Tully Misich and the 4's sees the debut of Victorian Sean Brereton.

2009 represents 88 years as an amateur club for North Fremantle and as one of the oldest amateur clubs in WA, we will be recognising a number of events throughout the year. On behalf of the committee we hope to see you down at the club during the up coming season to enjoy the continued success that we are having.
